CUT YOUR MONTHLY GROUP HEALTH INSURANCE PREMIUMS By Up To 50% And Eliminate The Need For COBRA

As an Employer you can potentially CUT YOUR MONTHLY HEALTH INSURANCE PREMIUMS by up to 50% and Eliminate The Need For COBRA.

This can easily be accomplished by:
1. Setting up an HRA (Health Reimbursement Arrangement); and
2. Providing your employees with an Individual/Family Insurance Policy.

Our Organization can help you do both.

What Are The Benefits For You As An Employer?
1. Concentrate on your business and customers instead of managing the complexities and spiraling costs of health insurance benefits.
2. Remain in business. The cost of health benefits now exceeds profits for most companies and is increasing faster than profits. If you don’t do something now, in a few years your stockholders may decide they are better off not owning shares in your company.
3. Save by redirecting the time and in-house personnel that is now devoted to health benefits to improving your products and service to customers.
4. Stop wasting people and money on COBRA administration. Ex-employees no longer need COBRA since they now have permanent portable health insurance for half the cost, and your company has no continuing obligation to provide COBRA.
5. Lower premiums by purchasing a high deductible medical plan.
6. The high deductible medical plan provides a financial incentive to encourage employees to adopt healthy lifestyles.
7. Any funds reimbursed from an HRA are exempt from employer’s payroll taxes and Social Security taxes.
8. Encourages employees to use medical plan and HRA funds conservatively to ensure future available benefits and may dampen future medical trend and claims experience.
9. Employees become more aware of the real cost of medical care, which may also dampen future medical trend and claims experience.
10. Cut your monthly Health Care Premiums by up to 50%.

What Are The Benefits For Your Employees?
1. Unlike an employer group plan in which the premium will rise significantly in the year following any major medical claims from employees, individual health insurance premiums cannot be increased due to a major illness or any expensive claim.
2. Their policy cannot be canceled for as long as they pay the premium—even if they no longer work for the company.
3. Some or all of the savings each year can be contributed to the employees Health Savings Accounts—eventually creating a nest egg of several hundred thousand dollars for future medical expenses and their retirement.
4. If an employee leaves his/her job for any reason they are not subject to the high cost of COBRA.
5. Employees have more control over their health care choices and become better health care consumers, saving everyone money.
6. Lower premium high deductible medical plan provides lower monthly premium contributions for employees and family members.
7. Employees who typically do not use any medical benefits, and may not value benefit plans, will have access to HRA funds to pay for allowable “IRC 213” expenses (same as FSA allowable expenses). Examples of allowable expenses may include: Lasik eye surgery, fertility drugs, hearing aids and batteries, weight loss program to treat obesity, and other benefits.
8. Unspent funds in the HRA will rollover each year and accumulate while employee continues to work for the Employer. Funds will help offset any future catastrophic illness or injury, subject to any maximum as determined by the Employer and noted in the Summary Plan Description (SPD).

Where Can You Get FREE Antibiotics?

Are you aware of the Publix FREE Oral Antibiotic program?

Publix has a list of eight antibiotic families that they will dispense for free. All you need to do is bring them a prescription and if the antibiotic being prescribed falls within one of the eight families in their program they will give you up to a 14 day supply for free. There are no limits on the number of prescriptions you can have filled.

You can go to http://www.publix.com/ then click on their Wellness & Pharmacy tab to see a list of the 8 antibiotic families within their program.

Now remember, it’s a family of antibiotics. What I mean by that is that you might receive a prescription for an antibiotic by a different name then one of the eight listed on the Publix website but it might be a variation of one of the eight listed antibiotic families so you can probably still get it for free.

For example – I had to fill a prescription a couple of weeks ago for Azithromycin. This particular medication is not listed as one of the eight names on the Publix website but I took it to their pharmacy anyway and the prescription was filled for FREE because it falls under the family of Erythromycin Stearate.

So our suggestion to you is to always check with Publix first when filling an Antibiotic prescription.

And remember, you don't need to have Health Insurance to qualify for Publix's Free Antibiotic program.

Where Can You Get Low Cost Generic Prescription Medication?

Are you aware of Wal Mart’s and Target’s $4 Generic Medication program?

Well here it is in a nut shell.

Go to WalMart.com and under their pharmacy section you can download a five page list of Generic Medications which they will dispense a 30 day supply for only $4 and if you need a 90 day supply they will dispense it for only $10.

So the next time you go to your doctor and they are going to write you a prescription check it against the Wal-Mart list and if your doctor is prescribing you a medication that does not appear on the list ask him/her to change it to one of the one’s on Wal-Mart’s list.

You don’t need to have Health Insurance to qualify for this program and fill the prescription.

So always check with Wal Mart or Target before filling your prescriptions else where.

Save On Your Out Of Pocket Costs For Minor Emergencies

Are you aware of the concept of using an Urgent Care Center (UCC) over the Emergency Room (ER)?

If you have a minor emergency (i.e. need stitches, sprained ankle, have the flu and can’t get in to see your PCP, etc.) an UCC should be your first option.

Why is that? If you check your Health Insurance Summary of Benefits you will see that using an UCC will save you any where from 50% – 75% over using an ER.

Typically the cost to use an ER over an UCC is about 10 times more for the same procedure and quality of care.

UCC’s are staffed by doctors and registered nurses so you will not miss out on the quality of care. And not only will you save money but in most cases you will get out hours faster then if you had used an ER.

Additionally, CVS and Walgreen’s are opening up Walk In clinics manned by Nurse Practitioners for minor illnesses like a flu or the cold. If they fall under your Insurance Companies Network (which there is a big possibility that they will) you will only have to pay a PCP Co-pay. And even if they don't the average cost for their service is about $75.00. Still cheaper then using the ER.
